Two area football players are living the dream, getting the chance to continue their careers at the pro level. Iola-Scandinavia’s Luke Albers has been invited to take part in the Arizona Cardinal’s 3-day rookie mini-camp this coming weekend. Albers was a tight end for the national champion North Dakota State Bison, and becomes the 3rd Iola native to have either played or at least signed to play in the NFL, joining Dave Krieg and Austen Lane. And Hortonville’s Joe Sommers has signed a free agent contract with the Chicago Bears. Soommers was a tight end for UW- Oshkosh, and an NCAA Division 3 All-America selection.
