A Waupaca man is being held in the county jail on a 10-thousand dollar cash bond following multiple drug charges in Waupaca County Court. 69 year old Dennis R. Armstrong faces felony counts of possession and delivery of non-narcotics– 2nd offense, and maintaining a drug trafficking place– 2nd offense, along with three felony bail jumping counts. He also is charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of illegally obtained prescriptions. The complaint alleges authorities conducted multiple drug buys at Armstrong’s apartment building on Waupaca’s East Fulton Street. Officers executed a search warrant there last Tuesday, allegedly finding 86 suboxone sublingual films, schedule 3 controlled substances, and various prescription pills. The bail jumping counts stem from bond conditions on drug cases in Fond du Lac County, including cocaine possession. If convicted of the Waupaca County cases, Armstrong could face over 30 years behind bars. He is due back in court next Tuesday.
