Those who attended Saturday’s St. Patty’s Day parade in New London are being advised not to eat any candy that was tossed to them. Several reports have been taken by New London Police of kids experiencing numbness in their cheeks, and discoloring of their face and lips, after eating tootsie rolls. Some parents have even posted photos of the symptoms. Authorities say no one has been hospitalized, with the symptoms lasting an hour or so. Police say the candy should be discarded, or brought to the police department.
