A New London man is being held on a 2000 dollar cash bond following multiple charges, including felony drunk driving, in Waupaca County Court. 31 year old Joseph D. Borowski is also charged with bail jumping and operating while revoked, and faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted. The criminal complaint alleges Borowski was intoxicated when stopped by New London police earlier this month. The complaint says he refused to perform field sobriety tests. Originally Borowski was released on a signature bond with a requirement of adherence to the Soberlink Monitoring Program. The complaint says he tested positive for alcohol shortly after his release, and the cash bond was ordered. Borowski has three prior drunk driving convictions, dating back to 2005. He is due back in court next Tuesday.
