BOY IN STABLE CONDITION AFTER SHOOTING

A 12 year old boy is in stable condition at a Milwaukee hospital following an accidental shooting in the Town of Bear Creek Thursday evening.  According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the 12 year old was shot in the shoulder by his 14 year old cousin, with a 12-gauge shotgun, while inside an out-building on property off County Hiway “O”, about 8 miles southwest of Clintonville.  The boy was taken by ambulance to ThedaCare New London hospital, then flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.  After being stabilized there, he was flown to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.    Authorities say the shooting is believed to be accidental, but it does remain under investigation.
