A Waupaca man is being held on 20-thousand dollars cash bond after being charged with 16 drug offenses in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 23 year old Colt J. Buchanan faces three felony counts each of delivery of cocaine and maintaining a drug trafficking place, along with two counts of possession a controlled substance with intent to deliver near a park, and numerous other possession and paraphernalia counts. The complaint alleges Buchanan sold cocaine to a police confidential informant on three separate occasions in May out of his east-side apartment. The complaint alleges officers found marijuana in the apartment during the execution of a search warrant. The complaint also says when they entered the apartment, Buchanan was in the bathroom destroying his phone. If convicted, he could face over 60 years in prison. Buchanan is due back in court on Monday.
