Candidates for the 40th State Assembly District, and the 14th State Senate District, will meet in a debate scheduled for Wednesday, November 2nd, at the Waupaca Ale House. The debate, being sponsored by the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce, will consist of the candidates answering questions submitted by the pubic in writing, in advance, or the evening of the debate. The assembly district race has incumbent Republican Kevin Peterson being challanged by Democrat Dmitri Martin. The senate race has incumbent Republican Luther Olsen being challanged by Democrat Brian Smith. The senate candidates will debate first, starting at 6:30, with the assembly candidates to follow at 7:30. The debate is open to the public, and you may submit questions to the Chamber office on Main Street, e-mail them to info@WaupacaAreaChamber.com, or drop them off in a box located at Neumann’s Piggly Wiggly.
