A Bear Creek man is being held on a 2000 dollar cash bond following multiple felony charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 30 year old Arnold R. Hedtke faces counts of tampering with a GPS tracking device, and take and drive a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. Hedtke is also charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property. The criminal complaint alleges Hedtke cut off an ankle monitoring bracelet in the Town of Bear Creek last week in attempt to elude authorities, who had a warrant for his arrest. The complaint alleges he then stole a vehicle and drove to Appleton before turning himself in. The vehicle was found in the parking lot of the Fox River Mall, according to the complaint. If convicted, Hedtke could face up to 9 years in prison. He is due back in court next Tuesday.
