A St. Paul, Minnesota man, former of New London, will serve a year in jail on arson convictions in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 22 year old Fernando A. Castillo entered no contest pleas to 3 counts of arson of property in a plea deal with prosecutors. Castillo set fire to two vehicles in the Town of Lebanon last August. One of the car fires caused a nearby garage to start on fire. A year and a half prison term for Castillo was imposed and stayed. Along with the year in jail, he was placed on probation for 3 years, and ordered to pay 162,400 dollars in restitution.
