A Clintonville man charged with felony child abuse in June is now facing multiple felonies in a new Waupaca County Court filing this week. 40 year old Wesley W. Caswell faces counts of strangulation and suffocation, substantial battery, and 3 counts of bail jumping, along with a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct as an act of domestic abuse. All are charged out with a repeat-offender enhancement. The criminal complaint alleges Caswell put a 30 year old woman in a choke-hold during a fight in Clintonville in late June. The complaint alleges he also struck her in the ribs with butt-end of a knife, and punched her in the ribs with a closed fist. The complaint says the woman was hospitalized in Appleton with a broken rib. If convicted, Caswell faces up to 25 years in prison. He makes his initial appearance on the charges July 12th.
