Two people have been arrested following a heroin overdose death in Adams County earlier this month. Authorities say 46 year old Kathleen Simms was found dead in an Adam’s hotel room. This week the sheriff’s department executed a search warrant at the Adam’s home of 49 year old Luis Cruiz, and took Cruz into custody after allegedly finding evidence of drug trafficking. Also arrested was 46 year old Krystyne Miller of Friendship. Miller has been charged with first degree reckless homicide for allegedly selling the heroin to Simms, along with giving her a syringe. No charges are yet filed against Cruz, but authorities are recommending the homicide charge, plus other drug counts.
