A Clintonville man is charged with drunk driving in relation to the three car accident in Bear Creek over the weekend. 53-year old Thomas P. Christensen is charged with OWI, 5th or 6th offense, operating a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration, 5th of 6th offense, and taking and driving a vehicle without consent, 2nd offense. According to the criminal complaint, Christensen was the driver of a maroon truck when he crossed the center line on Highway O, striking two other vehicles, causing one injury, and fleeing the scene. His vehicle was found shortly thereafter with heavy damage and a wheel missing, where Christensen had admitted to drinking and taking the truck without the owner’s consent. If convicted on the charges, Christensen could face up to 33 and a half years in prison. He’s due back in court on January 28.
