A Clintonville teacher is being honored in Washington D.C., this week after being named a winner of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching. Kevin Reese, a math teacher at Clintonville High School is one of four Wisconsin winners. The award is the highest honor given by the federal government to K-12 teachers of math, science, and computer science. The award is based on distinction in the classroom, and dedication to improving science, technology, engineering, and math education. Reese and his family flew to Washington early today, where they’ll be attending various ceremonies in his honor. Other Wisconsin winners of the award are from Bayfield, Lodi, and Sauk City.
