Rewards are being offered in Waushara County for information on an incident involving a dead coyote in late February. The Sheriff’s Department was notified on the 29th of a dead coyote hanging in a tree north of Redgranite. The animal had been shot and skinned, with some wire and nylon used to imitate wings, and red plastic covering over its eyes.
The person responsible could face fines for improper disposal of a dead animal. Waushara County Crimestoppers and some hunting groups are offering rewards for information leading to a conviction.
