A Bowler man is back in jail after being arrested at his sentencing hearing last Monday. 44 year-old Richard J. Dahl was convicted of felony sexual assault last October, and was to be sentenced Monday. But, after allegedly posting messages on Facebook to the victim and a witness in the case last Sunday night, he was taken into custody by Waupaca Police.
He faces new charges of intimidation of a victim, intimidation of a witness, and three counts of felony bail jumping, all as a repeat offender, and could face over 30 years in prison if convicted. The complaint also alleges Dahl had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.037% at the time of his arrest in court.
He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond, an dis due back in court March 8. The sexual assault sentencing hearing was rescheduled for April 4.
