An arrest warrant has been issued through Waupaca County Court for a Wisconsin Rapids man facing multiple alcohol-related charges. 59 year old Michael D. Dayton was charged in February with his 7th drunk driving offense, along with operating while revoked and failure to install an ignition interlock device, following his arrest in Waupaca. He posted a cash bond, and was ordered to adhere to the Soberlink Monitoring Program. Since that OWI charge, Dayton has twice been charged with felony bail jumping, the latest charged out this week, after he allegedly tested positive for alcohol multiple times this past Friday, and then missed several scheduled tests. If convicted on the new bail jumping count, he faces up to 6 years behind bars.
