Three Waupaca men are facing various drug charges following a traffic stop in Waupaca late last week. 22 year-old Edward J. Stemwedel faces felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to deliver, and maintaining a drug trafficking place, along with misdemeanor counts of possession of illegally obtained prescriptions, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. 31 year-old Zachary P. Jones is charged with delivery of meth as a party to a crime, and 49 year-old Bart C. Gruetzmacher is charged with delivery of amphetamines, possession of amphetamines, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
The complaint says Waupaca Police allegedly found drugs on Gruetzmacher when he was pulled over for driving on a suspended license. The complaint alleges he bought some of his drugs from Stemwedel during a transaction near Fremont. The complaint alleges Jones was in the vehicle with Stemwedel when the drug buy went down. Police did a drug search of Stemwedel’s Waupaca residence, allegedly turning up large quantities of meth, marijuana, pills and other narcotics. Stemwedel and Gruetzmacher make their initial appearances in Waupaca County Court today. Jones is free after posting a $1,500 cash bond.
