A New London man is due in Waupaca County Court next month facing a felony count of 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety. 31 year old Jonathan L. Williamson is also charged with possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping. The criminal complaint says Williamson was a passenger in a car on State Highway 22 in late November when he allegedly grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to go in and out of the ditch. Williamson then jumped from the moving vehicle, smashing his head on the pavement. He was flown from the scene to ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah. The complaint also alleges officers found meth at the scene of the incident, in the Town of Farmington. If convicted, Williamson could face up to 13 years in prison. He makes his initial appearance in court January 7th.
