A Wisconsin Rapids man will serve 18 months in prison following sentencing in Waupaca County Court on a probation revocation. 32 year old Joseph J. Esselman was convicted in 2011 of delivery of marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place, from drug crimes in Waupaca and the Town of Waupaca in 2009. He was also convicted at that time in burglary cases from Wood County. As part of his sentence, Esselman was placed on probation for four years. Since that time his probation has been extended three times, the last time in November of 2017. An order revoking that probation was issued by the state Department of Corrections in late October. Along with the prison time, Esselman was placed on extended supervision for two years following his release.
