A Wisconsin Rapids man is free on a 2000 dollar signature bond following drug charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 30 year old Eric W. Ewert faces a felony count of possession of methamphetamine, along with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The criminal complaint says New London police were called to a convenience store parking lot around 8:30 Sunday morning, where Ewert was sleeping in his car. There was a warrant out for his arrest. The complaint alleges officers found meth and adderall in the vehicle, along with articles of paraphernalia. If convicted, Ewert could face up to 3 and a half years in prison. He is due back in court October 24th.
