Another motorcycle crash in central Wisconsin has claimed a life. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office says a 20 year old Almond man was killed Thursday evening in the Town of Buena Vista. Authorities say the man was driving his motorcycle north on County Hiway “J” near Sherman Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The cycle and driver hit a power pole in the west ditch. The man was dead at the scene…. he was wearing a helmet. Officials say excessive speed appears to be a contributing factor in the crash, which remains under investigation. The victim’s name will be released sometime today. Twenty-five motorcycle operators have now died in crashes in Wisconsin his year.
