A Manawa man driving in the wrong lanes of US Highway 10 late Sunday afternoon was killed following a head on crash. Waupaca police say the 86 year-old man was heading west in the eastbound lanes just before 5:30, and collided with a vehicle that was heading east.
The Manawa man died in the crash while the driver of the other vehicle was transported by Theda Star helicopter to the Fox Cities for treatment of serious injuries.
Names of those involved have not been released. Waupaca police and the state patrol are investigating the accident. The Manawa man is the 14th person to die in a Waupaca County traffic crash this year. That compares to two fatalities all of last year.
