The filing deadline to run for Waupaca County District Attorney has been extended until 5 pm today. That’s because District Attorney John Snider missed the deadline on Wednesday. Nomination papers were due by 5 pm that day. The Government Accountability Board says because Snider did not notify the agency that he would not seek re-election, state law requires the filing deadlines to be extended. Snider has run unopposed for the office since he was first elected in 1986. Assistant D.A. Veronica Isherwood has filed to run as a Republican for the office in the August 9th primary.
