A fire in the Town of Farmington destroyed two buildings and a vehicle late Saturday night. Waupaca area firefighters were called to the David and Judy Mitchell residence on Hill Street, just south of the city near the high school. When they arrived they found a small shed and a shop building fully engulfed, with the shed already collapsed. Fire officials say the residents were alerted to the fire by explosions of some gas cylindars, and they were able to evacuate the nearby home. Both buildings and the vehicle inside were a total loss, and there was some heat damage to a garage. Two firemen suffered minor injuries in the blaze, and were treated at the scene. Fire crews from Weyauwega assisted in battling the fire. Crews were on the scene for about 4 hours.
