Flood warnings have been issued for a couple of communities along the Wolf River. The National Weather Service issued the warnings for New London and Shiocton this (Sunday) morning, after the river level rose to just a few inches below flood stage. Recent rain and snow melt has caused the surge of water, which is expected to crest later today and Monday. Flood stage in New London is 9 feet, and the river was at 8.97 feet early this morning. Some flooding in low-lying areas along the river is expected.
