A former Hortonville teacher has been charged with embezzling money from a parent-teacher organization, and from her daughter’s girl-scout troop. 41 year old Renee M. LaFleur-Linder resigned her special education teaching position last February, according to the Appleton Post Crescent. She now faces the three criminal charges in Outagamie County, for allegedly taking more than 12-thousand dollars from the two organizations. LaFleur-Linder was the treasurer of the parent-teacher group, and had two debit cards as troop leader of the girl scout group. She makes her initial court appearance December 5th.
