A criminal complaint has been filed against a Fremont woman in Waupaca Co. Circuit Court on felony charges of substantial battery and physical abuse of a child with intent to cause bodily harm. The complaint alleges 20-year-old Katlin L. Stupar punched a 17-year-old girl in the face at a Kwik Trip in the City of Waupaca on the evening of Tuesday, August 21st. Witnesses confirmed that the attack was unprovoked and that the girl was punched and fell to the ground. Stupar admitted she punched the girl. She said she was going to talk to the girl about her contact with Stupar’s boyfriend and she “lost it” and punched the girl one time. The girl was taken to the Theda Care emergency room and was diagnosed with a concussion and left eye contusion. If convicted, Stupar faces up to nine and a half years in prison. She makes her initial appearance in Waupaca Co. Circuit Court on October 9th.
