A Waupaca man made his initial appearance in Waupaca Co. Circuit Court on Monday on felony charges. According to court records, 34-year-old Michael T. Graske faces felony counts of an OWI, 4th offense, and possession of narcotic drugs. The criminal complaint alleges Graske was driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant in the town of Caledonia on Friday evening. After failing a field sobriety test, Graske was transported to a hospital and before a legal blood draw was obtained, the arresting officer saw Graske drop a wad of paper. It was recovered and contained heroin. If convicted, Graske faces up to nine and a half years in prison and suspension of his operating privileges for up to eight years. Graske was due back in court this afternoon.
