A criminal complaint has been issued in Waupaca County Court against a Waupaca man charging him with multiple felonies, including drugs. 62 year old Shane R. Hanke faces counts of manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana– 2nd offense, and felon in possession of a firearm, plus a misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia. Hanke is alleged to have had a pot growing operation at his Town of Dayton home. The complaint alleges officers last September found both growing and drying marijuana plants, and seized a total of 720 grams of marijuana, plus a 22-caliber rifle. Hanke was convicted in Brown County in 2011 of manufacturing pot. If convicted of the new charges, he could face up to 19 years in prison. Hanke makes his iniital court appearance April 25th.
