Two Waupaca County residents are being held in the county jail following felony drunk driving charges in separate cases. 43 year old John P. Hanson of Clintonville was arrested in New London Saturday night on his 7th operating while intoxicated charge. The criminal complaint alleges Hanson tested at .16 percent alcohol concentration on a preliminary breath test. Meanwhile, in Waupaca Saturday afternoon, 50 year old Teresa L. Gardner was arrested on her 6th drunk driving offense. The complaint alleges she failed field sobriety tests, and refused a breathylizer test. Gardner faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted, while Hanson could face 12 and a half years. Both are being held on 5000 dollar cash bonds, and both are due back in court today.
