A Manawa man is being held on 10-thousand dollars cash bond following a felony fleeing charge in Waupaca County Court. 23 year old Branden P.J. Lindsay also faces misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and operating while revoked. The criminal complaint says arrest warrants were out on Lindsay, and alleges officers tried to pull Lindsay over near Royalton Thursday, but he allegedly fled on State Highway 54 east, then turned on multiple town roads, at one time going through a ditch and field to elude deputies. The complaint alleges speeds topped 80 miles per hour before the pursuit was terminated. A short time later, officers saw Lindsay on U. S. Highway 45, where he pulled off the road, and then fled on foot. Officers deployed their K-9, and Lindsay surrendered. The bail jumping count stems from bond conditions on Washington County charges of operating while revoked, and failure to install an ignition interlock device. If convicted on the Waupaca County charges, he could face up to 3 and a half years in prison. Lindsay is due back in court January 7th.
