A Milladore man is free after posting a 15-hundred dollar cash bond following felony charges of fleeing and drunk driving. 57 year old Michael Cummins is alleged to have been intoxicated when pulled over by sheriff’s deputies last week in the Portage County Town of Carson. After running Cummin’s license, a deputy walked back up to his car, and found Cummins asleep at the wheel. The deputy woke him up, and Cummins then allegedly accelerated away. Deputies pursued him into Wood County at speeds that topped 100 miles per hour. Cummins eventually crashed his vehicle on Wood County Hiway “F” as it crossed U.S. Hiway 10. Cummins was ejected during the crash, but suffered only minor injuries. It is his 6th drunk driving arrest. Cummins is due back in court November 7th.
