A house in Rosholt was destroyed by fire over the weekend. The Rosholt Fire Department was called to the scene, on West Grand Avenue, about 1:30 Saturday morning. Authorities say the fire had spread through much of the home before firefighters got to the scene. All four family members inside the home made it out safely, but the family dog did not survive. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials say a space heater may have been involved.
MEanwile, fire also destroyed a home in Stevens Point on Sunday. Fire crews were called around nine Sunday morning to a house on the 2300 block of Main Street. No one was injured, but fire officials say the home and all its contents were a total loss. No cause of the blaze has yet been determined.
