An Amherst man will serve 6 months in the Waupaca County jail following his 5th conviction for intoxicated driving. 60 year old David G. Ingles entered a no contest plea to a charge of operating with a restricted controlled substance, with several other drug-related counts dismissed, but read in. Ingles was stopped in the Town of Farmington in May 2018. His four prior convictions date back to 2003. A one year jail sentence was ordered, but 6 months of that was stayed, to be used at the discretion of Ingle’s probation agent. He was given a 3-year probation term, lost his driving privileges for three years, must install an ignition interlock device for three years, and was ordered to pay fines and costs of over 23-hundred dollars.
