Waupaca County Board supervisor Jack Penny suffered serious injuries in a car versus pedestrian collision on Waupaca’s east side Sunday afternoon. Police Chief Brian Hoelzel says 86 year old Jack Penny of rural Waupaca was crossing Royalton Street at the intersection with Harding Street, when he was hit by a car driven by 83 year old Richard Morales of Waupaca. Hoelzel says Penny suffered multiple injuries in the accident, and was flown to ThedaCare’s Neenah Hospital. Morales, who was not hurt, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian and an uncontrolled intersection.
