A Friendship man will serve a year in jail on a negligent homicide conviction. 20 year old Branden Davis pleaded no contest to homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon in the April 2016 death of his girlfriend. 26 year old Constance Heintz of Friendship died after being shot by a pellet gun that Davis says he thought was unloaded. A 3 year prison term was imposed and stayed in the case. Along with the year in jail, Davis was also placed on 5 year’s probation, and he must maintain absolute sobriety.
