Police in Waupaca may have solved a burglary to the city’s K-Mart store from last fall. 44 year old John M. Signorile of the Chicago area has been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, felony theft, and criminal damage to property. Signorile, a current inmate at the Vandalia, Illinois Correctional Center, is alleged to have broken into K-Mart last September, breaking the glass jewelry case with a hammer, and getting away with nearly 53-thousand dollars in jewelry. The criminal complaint says the break in the case came when a DNA sample from a neoprene mask found at the scene was a match to Signorile’s DNA. If convicted, he could face over 20 years in prison. An arrest warrant has been issued in the case.
