An Iola man will serve time in the county jail following sentencing in an OWI homicide case in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 22 year old Clayton A. Kluck entered no contest pleas to homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and causing injury by intoxicated driving. Kluck was ordered to serve 11 months behind bars, and was placed on probation for five years. He was the driver of a car that crashed and rolled off County Highway “E” on Waupaca northeast side in May 2017. 21 year old Anthony Meverden of Iola was killed in the crash, while several others were injured. Court documents say Kluck, who was 20 at the time of the crash, had a blood-alcohol concentration of .05 percent at the time of the accident. He also had prescription pills in the vehicle. Along with the jail time and probation, Kluck was also ordered to pay over 34-thousand dollars in restitution to the victim’s family.
