A public informational meeting is being held next week to detail the Lake Poygan Habitat Restoration project. The meeting is being held Wednesday, July 25th, at the James Coughlin Center in Oshkosh, from 7-9 pm. The project involves the construction of a long, arcing break wall, in an attempt to establish a quiet backwater at the mouth of the Wolf River, to aid the growth of native aquatic plants, improve water quality, and create new fish and wildlife habitat. Ducks Unlimited is holding the meeting, with DNR personnel in attendance to talk about their involvement in the project. Again, that meeting is next Wednesday, from 7-9, at the James Coughlin Center in Oshkosh.
