A Waupaca man is in jail on a probation hold following multiple charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 28 year old Brett J. Laux faces felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping, along with misdemeanor counts of theft and drug paraphernalia. The criminal complaint alleges Laux broke into a gambling machine at a Town of Waupaca convenience store Saturday night, allegedly taking the cash. The complaint says his car was stopped a short time later on State Hiway 54, where authorities allegedly found meth in the car, along with drug paraphernalia. The bail jumping count stems from bond conditions on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm from last year. If convicted on the latest charges, he could face up to 9 and a half years in prison. Laux is due back in court March 6th.
