A Clintonville man is being held in the Waupaca County jail following charges of murder for hire. 26 year old Cole g. LaViolette faces two counts of solicitation of first degree intentional homicide, and was ordered held on 50 thousand dollars cash bond. The criminal complaint alleges LaViolette, while an inmate in the jail last summer, solicited his cellmate to murder his mother and girlfriend in Wisconsin Rapids. The complaint alleges he offered his cellmate 30 thousand dollars to do the killings. The complaint also alleges authorities recorded convesations between the two, where plans of making the deaths look drug related wee discussed, and how to dispose of cellphones. If convicted, LaViolette could face up to 25 years in prison. He is due back in court on May 3rd.
