A Clintonville man is being held in the Waupaca County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond following multiple charges in Waupaca County Circuit Court. 62 year-old Dennis R. Lucht faces felony counts of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety with use of Dangerous Weapon, and Failure to Comply with Officers. He also faces misdemeanor counts of Operating a Firearm while Intoxicated, Intentionally Pointing a Firearm at Another Person, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Resisting.
The complaint alleges Lucht had a blood alcohol concentration of .210% when Clintonville police were called to a disturbance Saturday. The complaint alleges Lucht threatened a man with a gun during the disturbance. Police say they found Lucht with a loaded handgun in a holster he was wearing under his jacket, and they say he had a knife in his pocket. If convicted, he could face over 13 years in prison. Lucht is due back in court next Tuesday.
