A fire in the Town of Lebanon earlier this week has been charged out as an arson. A criminal complaint and arrest warrant has been issued for 21 year old Fernando A. Castillo, who’s charged with 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, arson of a building, arson of personal property, and criminal damage to property. The criminal complaint alleges Castillo started two cars on fire Wednesday afternoon at a Worm Road residence. The fire then spread to a garage destroying it and all it’s contents. Firefighters from New London, Manawa, and Bear Creek battled the blaze. The complaint says writings that were spray-painted on the garage doors led them to suspect Castillo set the fire. He faces over 55 years in prison if convicted. No initial appearance date has yet been set.
