Waupaca County authorities spent part of their weekend investigating a shooting incident in the Town of Harrison. Reports with the sheriff’s office say a 43 year old man was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point with a gunshot wound to the stomach and leg Saturday afternoon. The man told authorities he was hunting squirrels with a 410 shotgun on property off Wolf River Road about 8 miles west of Big Falls, when he was struck by pellets on the ricoshet. Investigators determined the man’s account to be credible. The victim’s wounds were not life-threatening.
