A Town of Stockton man is being held in the Portage County jail on a 20-thousand dollar cash bond on charges stemming from a multi-vehicle accident Friday night. 37 year old Joshua Cisewski (sha-zess-key) has been charged with 3rd-offense operating while intoxicated, OWI causing great bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, bail jumping, and several traffic charges. Cisewski was southbound on Interstate-39 just after 6 pm Friday night when he lost control, crossed the median and overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the northbound lanes. Authorities say he fled the scene on foot, and while doing so, vehicles in the southbound lanes of I-39 became involved in a chain-reaction crash, resulting in several injuries. Police say Cisewski was found hiding on a nearby business property. They also say they found empty vodka bottles in his vehicle. I-39 was closed down for a couple of hours Friday night for emergency personnel to clean-up the wreckage.
