A Manawa man was arrested Friday for shooting and killing his neighbor’s dog. The dog’s owner says his dog went missing last Sunday after being let out of the house with another dog. Only one of the dogs returned. On Wednesday, the owner says he found paw prints and blood drops on his neighbor’s property, so he called the sheriff’s office. Their investigation determined that the dog had been shot by the neighbor, and disposed of in the south branch of the Little Wolf River. The neighbor was arrested for mistreatment of an animal resulting in death. Formal charges are pending through the Waupaca County District Attorney’s office.
