A Manawa woman was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after allegedly threatening police officers while her grass was being cut. Police Chief Jim Gorman says city public works employees were sent to reduce foliage and cut the grass at a nuisance property in the 600 block of Depot Street. Law enforcement was sent for safety purposes to monitor the situation. The chief says a 38 year old female resident of the property became disorderly and made threats to officers. She was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s office without incident.
