An Appleton man is headed to jail following a felony conviction of driving under the influence. 47 year old Travis D. Marinoff entered a guilty plea in Waupaca County Circuit Court to a count of operating with a restricted controlled substance– 6th offense. Marinoff was stopped in the Town of Mukwa in July 2017. The criminal complaint says he was under the influence of marijuana when he passed a county sheriff’s deputy, then continually went over the fog line of the road. Marinoff has five prior drunk driving convictions, dating back to 1989. He was given a sentence of 9 months in jail, along with fines and costs of over 22-hundred dollars. He also lost his driving privileges for three years, and must install an ignition interlock device for three years.
