A New London man is free after posting a 1000 dollar cash bond following a felony drunk driving charge in Waupaca County Court. 52 year old Terrance L. Meloy, Jr., faces a 6th-offense operating while intoxicated charge, after his arrest Friday night. The criminal complaint alleges Meloy was involved in a hit and run in NewLondon Friday. Authorities were able to determine that he was allegedly involved, and found his damaged car at his home. The complaint alleges Meloy admitted to officers that he was driving the striking vehicle, and left the scene, and that he was intoxicated at the time. He has five prior OWI convictions, dating back to the early 90’s. If convicted on the latest charge, he could face up to 10 years in prison. Meloy is due back in court January 14th.
