A Milwaukee man wanted for skipping bail in Winnebago County was arrested in Waupaca County Friday. 52 year old Lew A. Brown now faces felony charges of bail jumping, felon in possession of a firearm, and 2nd offense marijuana possession in Waupaca County Circuit Court, along with misdemeanor offenses of obstructing police and drug paraphernalia. The criminal complaint alleges offices found 2 and a half grams of pot, a loaded handgun, and seven cellphones in Brown’s vehicle during a traffic stop on Hiway 10 in the Town of Farmington. Brown faces 3 felony drug counts in Winnebago County, and has multiple felony convictions from Milwaukee County in 2005. If convicted on the Waupaca County charges, he could face up to 16 years behind bars. He is being held on a 15-thousand dollar cash bond, and is due in court this afternoon.
